Last Week:

5/11/18 -- Missouri (L, 3-5)
5/12/18 -- Missouri (W, 6-3)
5/13/18 -- Missouri (W, 1-0)

NOTES:
South Carolina had its second walk-off win of the season in Sunday's 1-0 victory over Missouri. Carlos Cortes connected with a solo home run on the first pitch of the bottom of the ninth inning. Carolina also had a walk-off win against Clemson on March 2 as TJ Hopkins' sacrifice fly in the ninth won that game.

The Gamecocks had two very impressive pitching performances from Adam Hill and Cody Morris in the Missouri series. Hill struck out eight and allowed just four hits and no runs in the 6-3 win on Saturday. He improved to 6-5 on the year. Morris tied a career high with eight strikeouts in seven innings of work. He allowed just three hits and no runs in a no-decision on Sunday.

Cortes hit his 14th home run of the season in the Sunday win over Missouri. He now has 26 career home runs. Cortes also leads the team with 44 runs scored and 95 total bases.

Carolina celebrated Senior Day at Founders Park on Saturday, honoring Jonah Bride, Justin Row, Madison Stokes, Hunter Taylor and Matt Williams prior to the game.

Hunter Taylor had a tremendous weekend behind the plate, as he threw out two runners trying to steal in Sunday's win. Taylor now has thrown out 14 runners trying to steal this season. Taylor also had a two-run home run in Friday's loss.

Carolina enters its final weekend of SEC play in third place in the East Division and fifth overall. They trail Georgia and Ole Miss by one game in the fight for a top-four seed and a bye in the SEC Tournament. Carolina holds the tiebreaker against Ole Miss while Georgia has the tiebreaker against the Gamecocks. LSU is one game behind Carolina in the overall standings. Carolina holds that tiebreaker thanks to the sweep in April.

Justin Row went 3-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 6-3 win. Row is now hitting .362 on the year with 11 doubles and five home runs. In SEC games, Row is hitting .393 with nine doubles.

Carolina won its first 1-0 game since March 9, 2014, in a 1-0 victory over Brown at Founders Park. It is the first 1-0 win in conference play since the Gamecocks defeated Alabama on April 27, 2012.

South Carolina will host USC Upstate, weather permitting, on Tuesday night before flying to College Station for a three-game series with Texas A&M on Thursday-Saturday. The Saturday game will be televised on SEC Network.
