  • Oklahoma has now lost the opener of its last three Super Regional appearances. The Sooners bounced back to win game two in both 2010 and 2006.
  • The loss snaps the Sooners' four-game winning streak. Oklahoma has lost three times in its last 10 games.
  • The Sooners were shut out for just the fourth time this season.
  • South Carolina

  • South Carolina improves to 44-17 on the year.
  • The Gamecocks have won a NCAA record 20 consecutive NCAA Tournament games.
  • Carolina has won 23 straight NCAA Tournament games at home, including a 12-0 mark at Carolina Stadium.
  • The Gamecocks are now 117-56 in NCAA Tournament games, including a 25-1 record the last three seasons.
  • Senior lefthander Michael Roth worked 7 2/3 scoreless innings to improve to 6-0 for his career in NCAA Tournament outings.
  • Carolina opened the scoring with three runs in the second inning as it improved to 33-5 this season when scoring first, including a 4-0 mark in the postseason.
