South Carolina vs. Florida (May 20, 2010) Post-Game Quotes: Head Coach Ray Tanner On tonight’s game… It was a great college baseball game. Both teams played well and pitched well. Guys out of the bullpen did a nice job. We had some opportunities, and they did as well. We were in a position but [Florida Pitcher Jeff] Barfield did a super job out of the bullpen. I thought what Barfield did when he came in was a big key in the game. On Florida’s Starting Pitcher Alex Panteliodis…. We had some quality at bats. We did not get a lot to show for it because we only ended up with two runs on the night, one being [Jeffrey] Jones’ homerun. We battled Panteliodis pretty well. He is a good pitcher. He hit some spots, he missed some spots, we fouled some balls off, and we ran his pitch count a little bit. But their guys out of the bullpen did a super job.
On Florida’s Closer Kevin Chapman… He was pretty special, but that was the report that he could be a shutdown guy. He was every bit as good as advertised.
