Head Coach Chad Holbrook
We were extremely lucky to have won the game. Quite honestly, we didn¹t deserve it, but our pitchers deserved a good fate. We pitched well for the most part. After the second inning we put up zeros the rest of the way. We did enough offensively and we benefitted from a bloop hit (by Jordan Gore) that led to four runs. Lucky for us, that was enough. I¹m not extremely pleased with the way we played offensively at all. We had runners at third with less than two outs and we couldn¹t get them in, twice, with Kyle (Martin) and (Alex) Destino. From an offensive standpoint, we got many opportunities to score and we have to execute when we get those opportunities. That was the disappointing part of tonight, but we pitched and for the most part, we played defense. (Marcus) Mooney had a phenomenal play and to lead-off an inning. Who knows, that (play) might have won the game. It was one of the better plays that I¹ve seen on this field in a long time. We did enough to win and we were very lucky and fortunate. We didn¹t play our best, but we won anyway and at the end of the day, that¹s what matters.
On winning the past three games going into the weekend series at Florida...
I'm a glass half-full guy. We'll go down there and see if we can play our best baseball of the year; that's what it's going to take. That's what I told the team after the game and you have to be excited about going and playing. They're a great team, a great program and they're awfully good at home. They play good everywhere, but they're even better at home and we're going to have to play our best baseball of the year to have a shot."
On Brandon Murray in his last couple of outings...
He has thrown well and has been a shot in the arm for us. He helped us win two big, league games when the odds were against us. At Missouri, on the road, and at Mississippi State, he has been in some big moments for us and obviously, that the reason why we didn't pitch him too much tonight because we know we're going to use him over the weekend. I can't sit here at say that he is going to start Sunday because we might need him to get some big outs on Friday or Saturday. If he hasn't pitched on Friday and Saturday, there is a good chance he'll throw Sunday.
Sophomore Infielder/Outfielder Jordan Gore
On the 3-run single in the 4th inning...
I didn't think it was dropping at all, to be honest with you.
On the team's mentality heading into Gainesville this weekend...
We're going down there to fight hard and win. Looking back at the past we haven't been winning a lot but, it's going to come. We're a good ball club so we'll be alright.

On the last three wins and the mentality going into this weekend...
I think that was a big win tonight. To get those other two wins, especially on (Saturday). That's always a big win, whenever you get a (game 3) win. Not to win the series, but to win (the third game). That's always something big to bounce back on. I think we have a lot of momentum going into Florida. I think things are just going to start falling our way and if we keep competing I think we're going to be good.
On the solo homer that opened up the 1st inning...
You can't really let that affect you. I know I have to go out there, bounce back, and just keep getting outs. I know I've been in a funk and last week I didn't have the best outing. I really needed to get this under my belt today and be able to go out there, get a lot of strikes, not walk anybody -which was a big thing. Just being able to get back into my old ways of throwing outs and getting head counts.
