Columbia, S.C. - Michael Campbell and Brendan Winn homered and Jon Willard was four for four Wednesday night and fifth ranked South Carolina scored 12 runs in the first three innings to coast to a 13-1 win over Wofford, improving the Gamecock record to 10-0.

South Carolina used eight pitchers in a pre determined split. Andy Lambert worked the first three innings to earn his first career win. Chip Hunt, 0-1, was charged with the loss as Wofford's record dropped to 5-8. Lambert allowed one hit and struck out three.

The Gamecocks scored three first inning unearned runs on two hits, the first of four Wofford errors, a walk and a sacrifice fly. The score mounted to 9-0 in the second inning when Campbell hit a two run home run, his second of the season and Winn hit his sixth homer, a two run shot, and Chris Brown had a sacrifice fly. South Carolina sent 10 batters to the plate in the inning.

Three runs in the third made the score 12-0. Davy Gregg, who was three for three in the game, led off with a double. Brown walked and Campbell blooped a single to load the bases. Back to back sacrifice flies scored two runs and Willard doubled to drive in the third.

South Carolina scored its final run in the seventh inning.

Wofford, which had five hits in the game, averted a shutout with a run in the sixth inning. Zach Pittman walked and scored from first on a double by Shane Kirkley.

South Carolina recorded 13 hits and five of the runs batted in came on sacrifice flies. Steve Pearce had three RBI on a two run single in the first inning and a sacrifice fly in the third. Coach Ray Tanner used 25 players in the game.
