Pitched a season-high 7.2 innings and allowed just one run on three hits with a career-high 12 strikeouts in 4-1 win over Florida (3/24) ... 2005 - Appeared in 11 games with six starts ... Pitched 27.1 innings compiling a 2-1 record with 18 strikeouts and 22 walks and a 2.63 ERA ... Threw five scoreless innings in start vs. Tennessee at SEC Tournament (5/27/05) ... Picked up second win of the year with six innings of four-hit ball allowing one run with a season-high eight strikeouts as Carolina defeated Kentucky 12-1 (5/22/05) ... Worked a season-long 6.2 innings allowing two runs on three hits at Ole Miss (5/15/05) ... Selected in the 31st round of the MLB Draft by the Baltimore Orioles.
2004 - Enrolled at Carolina in the fall of 2003 and made an immediate impact as a freshman ... Named to 2004 SEC All-Freshman Team ... Appeared in 25 games with four starts ... Pitched 52.1 innings with 3-1 record, one save, 3.27 ERA, 49 strikeouts, 14 walks ... Pitched complete game four hit shutout and earned SEC Pitcher of the Week Honors in 3-0 win over Ole Miss (5/2/04) ... Other two wins were in relief, both over SEC rival Florida ... Played in the summer with the Wilson Tobs of the Coastal Plains League under Coach Todd Wilkerson.
