Gamecock Track and Field Women Move up to No. 2 and No. 3 in the polls this week
May 2, 2007 After its break-out showing at Penn Relays, the South Carolina women's track and field team jumped up to No. 2 in the USTFCCCA poll this week and to No. 3 in the trackwire.com poll. South Carolina takes this weekend off for final exams before heading to Alabama for next weekend's SEC Championships. Led by Natasha Hastings at No. 1 in the 400m and the 4x400m relay at the top spot, the USC have five women and two relays ranked in the trackwire.com Dandy Dozen. On the men's side, two men and the 4x4 are ranked in the Dandy Dozen. The Arizona State women are No. 1 in the USTFCCCA poll and LSU is No. 1 in the trackwire.com poll.
