COLUMBIA, Mo. - On the first day of action at the 2013 SEC Track and Field Outdoor Championships at Audrey J. Walton Stadium in Columbia, Mo., South Carolina had a light day of action, competing in just one event.

In the men's hammer throw redshirt sophomore Andrew Seay was the top South Carolina finisher. Seay recorded a season-best mark of 176-3 (53.72m) to finish in 13th place.

Tomorrow, South Carolina's day gets started at 3:00 p.m. ET with the women's hammer throw. The 800-meter, 200-meter and 400-meter hurdle prelims begin at 7:15 p.m. ET. Sophomore Kayla Lampe will wrap up the day in the 10,000-meter run. Earlier in the season, Lampe set a new school record in the event. The women's 10,000-meter run is slated for 9:45 p.m. ET.
