Two Gamecocks made the finals of the women's weight throw. Alycia Springs set a new PR and finished eighth with a mark of 57-0 ¼, while KD Young took ninth, at 55-4 ¼.

FROM THE COACH

"There weren't many events for us today, but I was proud of Eric for throwing a season best, and I was really pleased to see Alycia and KD continue to improve and make the finals tonight. Most of the competition is Saturday, and Liberty has an outstanding facility. We're excited to be here and ready to accomplish a lot tomorrow."-- Head Coach Curtis Frye
