HIGH SCHOOL: Top marks of 18:29 in the 5K and 5:18 in the 1600m...selected to the Virginia All-State team for cross country...twice named MVP for her cross country team at Colonial Forge in Stafford, VA...three-time All-District and All-Region selection

PERSONAL: Member of the National Art Honor Society...intends to major in art education...daughter of George and Dottie Manuel...one sibling, Marissa...also considered Mary Washington and George Mason...came to South Carolina for the good art programs and the great teaching accreditation program. She loved the campus feel and the family-like team atmosphere.
