Indoors: Hit a new PR in the 3000m, finishing in 10:24.36... ran 19th overall in the 5000m at the Armory Invite, with a new personal best of 17:52.51.
Outdoors: Ran in only one event - the 5000m - in the spring, finishing ninth with a time of 18:24.30.

2015
Indoors: Did not compete.
Outdoors: Ran on the team's top three 4x8 relay groups... finished eighth in both the 800 and 1500 at the Bill Carson Invite... crossed tenth in the mile at the Shamrock Invite (5:09.22)... ran the 1500 at the SEC Championships, finishing 35th in the prelims (4:48.81).

2014
Indoors: Ran the 800 meters and the mile...had her best 800 meters result at the Hokie Invitational, running a 2:21.07 to finish 11th...steadily lowered her mile time throughout the season, turning in her best time at her first SEC Indoor Championships where she finished 25th with a 5:08.70.
Outdoors: Focused on the middle distances...ran the 800 meters before stretching out to the 1,500 meters...best 800 meter time came at the Bill Carson Invitational with a time of 2:23.32 for a seventh place finish...in the 1,500 meters, ran her best time at the Bill Carson Invitational at 4:44.88 to take seventh...finished second at the USC Outdoor Open (4:52.54)...finished 30th at SEC Outdoors with a time of 4:47.62...was a member of the 4x800m relay at Penn Relays that finished 12th, but turned in the No. 9 time in program history at 9:10.42.

HIGH SCHOOL
A four-year letter-winner in track and cross country for coach Jennifer Brockett at Science Hill High School ... Helped her team finish second in the state twice (2010 & 2011), coming in 10th and fifth, respectively ... Won the 2012 conference and regional titles in cross country ... A four-time all-conference and all-region in cross country ... Won the conference title in the 1600m and 3200m in 2012 ... Part of four all-state 4x800m relay teams (2010-13) ... Ranked fifth in the state in the 800m as a senior ... A three-year cross country team captain ... Three-time winner of the cross country leadership award and four-time team co-MVP ... Also claimed the Eastman Scholar-Athlete Award ... A Tennessee Scholar who also took the AP US History Award, AP Government Award and AP Scholar Award ... Graduated honors with distinctions.

PERSONAL
Martha Ellison McCoy is the daughter of Daniel and Dana and has two younger sisters, Laura and Catherine ... Chose South Carolina over Virginia, Wake Forest, Davidson and Furman because of the emphasis on academics and the availability of research opportunities.
