Taryn Zack Named AgSouth Athlete of the Week

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Diver Taryn Zack has been named AgSouth Athlete of the Week.

Zack, an All-American in 2008, picked right up where she left off as she earned NCAA Zone qualifying scores in her first meet of the season against 12th-ranked North Carolina.

The sophomore from Stony Plain, Alberta, Canada, took first place in the one-meter event with a score of 284.17, well above the qualifying mark of 265. She then came back in the three-meter competition and lapped the field with a score of 314.10, also shattering the NCAA qualifying standard.
