He made the finals of the 200 freestyle and 200 butterfly, finishing fourth in both events. A native of Annandale, Va., Flach also helped set three school records in relay events. In the 800 freestyle relay, he swam the fastest leg (1:34.36) to lead the team to a sixth-place finish with a school-record and NCAA A cut of 6:23.99. He was also a part of the school record setting 400 medley relay (3:11.83) and 200 freestyle relay teams (1:18.88). Athletes that earned a first-place finish in any event at the SEC Championships were named to the All-SEC first team, and any athlete that was a runner-up in any event was a second-team selection.
