2013-14 - Swam in the 100 backstroke (1:02.01, sixth) and the 100 butterfly (59.89, eighth) at East Carolina ... Competed at the Queens/Wingate meet, posting a time of 55.35 in the 100 freestyle and 59.64 in the 100 butterfly ... Named to SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll.

2012-13 - Contributed in the freestyle, backstroke and butterfly events...Recorded one individual win, finishing first in the 100 butterfly against College of Charleston, Queens and Wingate with a time of 57.05, which ranked as the team's fifth fastest time of the season...Was a part of one relay win, a first-place showing in the 200 medley relay against College of Charleston...Swam personal bests in the 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle, 200 backstroke and 100 butterfly during the season...Named to the SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll.

2011-12 -Swam in seven regular season meets...Had the team's fourth best time and a personal record in the 100 butterfly with a mark of 57.57 against East Carolina and Vanderbilt...Recorded the teams' fifth fastest time of the season in the 100 backstroke with a time of 59.14 to finish second against East Carolina and Vanderbilt...Posted a personal record of 53.38 in the 100 freestyle against East Carolina and Vanderbilt...Named to the SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll.

2010-11 - Contributor in sprint freestyle and butterfly events...Swam a 57.66 in 100 fly against Alabama/Georgia, the team's fourth-best time this season...Top time in 100 free (54.01) also came in Alabama/Georgia meet.

PRE-COLLEGE - Graduated from Solon High School...Was team MVP for the Comets in 2009 and 2010...Named a high school All-American in 100 butterfly, 200 medley relay and 200 free relay...Holds school record in all three events...Named Northeast Ohio Swimmer of the Year...All-state in 100 fly, 200 MR and 400 FR...Helped team to Northeast Ohio District title in 2008, 2009 and 2010...Member of Solon Stars Swim Club...Qualified for national team and holds one team record...Previously swam for Lake Erie Silver Dolphins, where she was named swimmer of the year and holds three team records...Member of National Honor Society...Four-year honor roll recipient and scholar-athlete award recipient.

PERSONAL - Full name is Maryn Taylor Bieganski...Born March 23, 1992, in Cleveland, Ohio...Parents are Walt Bieganski and Sherry Whay...Has two sisters, Brooke and Madison...Her mother was a cheerleader at Ohio State...Plans to major in international business...Chose South Carolina because it was the perfect academic and athletic fit, and she truly felt it was the place for her to achieve her greatest potential...Also considered an offer from Ohio State.
