Men's Tennis - Pinheiro Advances at World University Games - 7/4/15
Thiago Pinheiro cruised through the first round of the international event, representing his native Brazil.
South Carolina men's tennis alumnus Thiago Pinheiro powered through a first-round victory in singles play at the World University Games in Gwangju City, Korea. The Brazilian will be back in action at Jinwol International Tennis Court in doubles on Sun., July 5. Read more (+)
 
Baseball - Six Gamecocks Earn Coastal Plain League All-Star Honors - 7/3/15
All-Star game scheduled for Monday July 13 in Florence, S.C.
The South Carolina baseball team will have six Gamecocks participating in the 2015 Coastal Plain League All-Star Game as announced by the league on Friday. Alex Destino, Clark Scolamiero, Madison Stokes, Matthew Vogel, Taylor Widener and Jared Williams will participate in the contest. This year's game is scheduled for Florence, S.C. on Monday July 13 at Sparrow Stadium. Read more (+)

Women's basketball assistant coach Nikki McCray-Penson honored for outstanding high school career.
University of South Carolina women's basketball assistant coach Nikki McCray-Penson was inducted into the National High School Hall of Fame Thursday night at the New Orleans Marriott in New Orleans, La. Men's tennis alum Thiago Pinheiro represents Brazil in international competition.
South Carolina men's tennis alumnus Thiago Pinheiro will open competition in the World University Games in Gwangju City, Korea, on Saturday. Competing for his home country, Brazil, Pinheiro is one of 79 singles entries and 34 doubles entries in the event. Read more (+)

Fowler brings four years of college women's basketball training experience to the Gamecocks.
University of South Carolina women&rsquo;s basketball head coach Dawn Staley announced today the hiring of Katie Fowler as her program&rsquo;s sports performance coach.
