Women's Basketball - Gamecock Gameday: No. 1 vs. No. 2 Showdown Monday - 2/7/16
No. 2/2 South Carolina women's basketball welcomes program's first sell out for Monday's rematch with No. 1/1 UConn.
The nation's only two remaining unbeaten teams square off on Mon., Feb. 8, when No. 2/2 South Carolina hosts No. 1/1 UConn at 7 p.m. at Colonial Life Arena. The 7 p.m. game to air on ESPN2 is a rematch of last season's 1-vs-2 showdown in Storrs, in which it is again the visiting team that totes the nation's top billing into the contest. The Gamecocks (22-0, 10-0 SEC) are battle tested with nine wins over nationally ranked opponents, including three of their last four and four of their last six. Men's Basketball - Thornwell Powers Carolina to Major Road Win - 2/6/16
The junior scored 25 points with nine assists in the win over No. 8 Texas A&M
The No. 25/23 South Carolina men's basketball team earned its signature win of an already sterling season Saturday afternoon, upsetting No.8 Texas A&M on its home court, 81-78. The win gives Carolina (20-3, 7-3 SEC) its first 20-win season since 2008-09 and its first win ever in College Station. Sindarius Thornwell flirted with a triple-double in the victory, scoring a season-high 25 points with nine assists and six rebounds. Read more (+)

Carolina senior leads group of four Gamecocks in Georgia
University of South Carolina senior Matt NeSmith finished tied for second place at the 2016 Jones Cup Invitational, which wrapped up Sunday at Ocean Forest Golf Club. NeSmith fired a 1-over 73 on Sunday to finish the three-round event at 220 (+4). Read more (+)
Men's Tennis - South Carolina Splits Doubleheader In Raleigh - 2/7/16
Carolina travels to Tampa, Fla., in two weeks to battle two top-20 teams
No. 55 South Carolina men&rsquo;s tennis earned a sweep of Bryant University before falling in a road contest to No. 32 NC State, 4-3, on Sunday at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center. South Carolina women's basketball will play in front of its first ever sold out crowd at Colonial Life Arena when the No. 2/2 Gamecocks host No. 1/1 UConn on Monday night, the Gamecock Athletics Ticket Office announced today. Matt NeSmith led a group of four University of South Carolina men&rsquo;s golfers as the quartet completed the second round of the Jones Cup Invitational on Saturday at Ocean Forest Golf Club.
