COLUMBIA, S.C. - No. 29 South Carolina defeated the No. 28 Clemson Tigers 6-1 Saturday afternoon at the University of South Carolina Fieldhouse. Women's Basketball - Mitchell Named to Dawn Staley Award Watch List - 1/30/15
South Carolina junior guard Tiffany Mitchell earned a spot on the 2015 Dawn Staley Award Watch List, the Phoenix Club of Philadelphia announced on Friday. In its third season, the award recognizes the nation's best guard in omen's Division I college basketball, exemplified by skills that Staley possessed - ball handling, scoring, ability to distribute and will to win. Women's Basketball - No. 1/1 South Carolina Rolls Past Alabama, 85-54 - 1/29/15
No. 1/1 South Carolina deployed its depth to surge past Alabama, 85-54, on Thursday night at Colonial Life Arena with A'ja Wilson and Alaina Coates leading the way. Wilson scored a game-high 17 points for Gamecocks (20-0, 8-0 SEC) and Coates notched her ninth double-double of the season with 14 points and a game-high 10 rebounds while also swatting five shots.
