Friday would be a day for the hurdlers of South Carolina, as the Gamecocks passed three athletes to the quarterfinal round and saw Jussi Kanervo earn the team's first bid to nationals so far this weekend. Women's Basketball - Transfer Kaela Davis Joins Gamecocks - 5/29/15
1,000-point scorer from Georgia Tech opts to finish career at South Carolina.
South Carolina head women's basketball coach Dawn Staley announced that Kaela Davis (Suwanee, Ga./Buford HS) has signed a financial aid agreement to attend the University and play for the Gamecocks. Davis, who was a two-time All-ACC selection at Georgia Tech, will have two years of eligibility beginning in 2016-17. Read more (+)
Baseball - Kyle Martin Earns All-America Honors From Collegiate Baseball - 5/28/15
Senior first baseman hit .350 with 14 HR & 56 RBI
South Carolina senior first baseman Kyle Martin earned second-team Louisville Slugger All-America honors as chosen by Collegiate Baseball. The team was announced on Thursday morning. Martin led the Gamecocks in all three Triple Crown categories batting .350 (71-for-203) with 14 homers and 56 RBI. Read more (+)

Women's Tennis - Spurs & Feathers: Gamecocks accomplish 'quite a bit' in 2015 season - 5/28/15
"Overall, we had a successful season," said head coach Kevin Epley. "It was similar to last season in the sense that we really didn't get going until later in the season. We had some close matches. We had a goal this year to beat one of these top-ten teams that we've been playing close. We didn't achieve that but overall, I feel like we accomplished quite a bit." Read more (+)

Women's Golf - Dreher Earns WGCA First-Team All-America Nod - 5/27/15
Gamecock becomes third first-team All-American in program history.
Senior Justine Dreher earned Women's Golf Coaches Association First-Team All-America honors, the organization announced Tuesday. With the honor, Dreher becomes the third first-team All-American in program history, joining three-time first-team honoree Kristy McPherson (2001, 2002, 2003, NGCA) and Siew Ai Lim (1995, NGCA).
