COLUMBIA, S.C. — No. 1 seed South Carolina women’s soccer (19-1-1) will face Colorado (15-5-1) in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The match will kick off on Thursday at 7 p.m. ET at Stone Stadium.

The Buffaloes, listed at No. 20 in the current NSCAA poll, will be one of four ranked teams in action in Columbia this week. No. 4 BYU and No. 25 Oklahoma will battle one another at Stone Stadium Thursday (4 p.m. ET), and the winner of the match will advance to Saturday’s third round contest (7 p.m. ET) to face the winner of Colorado and third-ranked South Carolina in Columbia.

One ticket ($8 for adults, $5 for youth) will get fans into both matches on Thursday, with no re-entry allowed between games. Beginning at 6 p.m., the first 540 Carolina students will receive free admission to the match between the Gamecocks and Buffaloes.

Thursday will mark the first meeting between Colorado and Carolina. The Gamecocks cruised past Alabama State 7-0 in Friday’s opening round, and the victory marked the 200th win at Carolina for coach Shelley Smith.
