Gamecock Softball Tryout Meeting Set for Wed., Aug. 24

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina softball program hosts its tryout meeting for current students on the Columbia campus at the University of South Carolina on Wed., Aug. 24 at 5:30 p.m. at Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field.

Those interested in coming to the tryout need to email Lisa Navas at lnavas@mailbox.sc.edu for full details as well as fill out this 2016 Walk On Form . The actual tryout will be at 5:30 p.m. on Wed., Aug. 31.

South Carolina, under the guidance of head coach Beverly Smith, has made the past four NCAA Tournaments, appearing last year in its second regional championship. The Gamecocks have matched or improved their win total in each of those seasons. Last season, Kaylea Snaer broke South Carolina’s and the SEC record with 27 doubles, leading NCAA Division I.
