#SpursUp Tour Rolls In Style on the Boom Bus

Here comes the Boom … on the Boom Bus. South Carolina Athletics announced that head football coach Will Muschamp will be arriving on a branded “Boom Bus” as he makes appearances at the Gamecock Club’s “#SpursUp Tour” across the state this spring to share the excitement with fans about the new era of Gamecock Football.

“I’m looking forward to getting out and meeting the most loyal fan base in the country,” Muschamp said. “This is an opportunity to thank them and show our appreciation for what they do for us.”

South Carolina alumnus Mike Boykin of Bespoke Marketing introduced the concept of the bus to the Athletics Department. The bus was loaned to the Athletics Department courtesy of long-time Gamecocks supporter Reamer King of King Cadillac in Florence, S.C. The artwork, or wrapping, of the bus, which includes images of Muschamp and the #SpursUp hashtag, was provided by another long-time fan and donor, Roger Huskey of Hollywood’s Productions in Gaffney, S.C.

There will be plenty of photo opportunities as Cocky and the South Carolina cheerleaders will be on hand for each stop on the tour, and additional South Carolina coaches from other sports will appear at selected events as well. Fans attending the events will also be able to purchase their tickets for the upcoming 2016 football season.

“We want people to come on out and see Coach Muschamp, join the Gamecock Club, and of course purchase season tickets to watch the Gamecocks this fall,” said Jeff Crane, Senior Associate Athletics Director for Development and the Gamecock Club. “It’s an exciting new era for the football program.”
