COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina women’s basketball announces the launch of its 2015-16 apparel, including an opportunity to join The G-Hive to get five custom designed shirts that the team will wear this season at a discount. Club memberships will be sold beginning at “The Pre-Show Party” presented by All South Federal Credit Union on Wed., Oct. 28, online, at Colonial Life Arena on game days and at Columbia-area retailers. “Over the last few seasons we have seen how Gamecock Nation swarms around our program, helping us protect our home court and having our back on the road, too, and The G-Hive represents that unconditional support,” South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley said. “We’re excited to start this program to share our team gear with our fans, to create another opportunity for fans to join our program. Joining The G-Hive will be like having a season ticket to `The Show’ apparel we will wear this season.”

Membership in the club is $75 and includes all five designs that the team will wear on designated games. The first opportunity to join The G-Hive will be at “The Pre-Show Party” presented by All South Federal Credit Union, where fans can purchase membership with cash or credit card. Sizes of all t-shirts range from Youth Medium to Adult 3XL. Following Wednesday night’s event, online membership will be available, through which The G-Hive members can elect to have shirts shipped to them (additional $8 shipping fee per membership applies) or to pick them up at any of the Gamecocks’ three home games during November — exhibition against Newberry (Nov. 6), regular-season opener vs. Ohio State (Nov. 13) or vs. UNC Greensboro (Nov. 15) — on the concourse above the box office area.

Apparel is now available at Columbia-area retailers Jewelry Warehouse/Garnet and Black Traditions, Addams Bookstore, the South Carolina Bookstore, Todd & Moore and the Gameday Store at Williams-Brice Stadium.
