CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The diving corps gave the South Carolina swimming and diving teams a solid start to the weekend by sweeping the three-meter springboard on Friday against Virginia at the Aquatic and Fitness Center.

Senior Rylan Ridenour, who is the reigning SEC Diver of the Week, won the men’s competition with a score of 395.85. Sophomore Cole Miller gave the Gamecocks the top two spots as he finished second with a mark of 364.80. Junior Andrew Helmich took sixth with a score of 278.92.

In the women’s competition, sophomore Patricia Kranz continued her impressive start to the season, winning the board with a Virginia pool record of 323.63. Senior Chay Malvasio finished third with a score of 283.35.

The one-meter springboard competition will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. with the swimming portion of the meet against the Cavaliers to begin at 11 a.m. Live results for the meet will be available by clicking .
