COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina women’s soccer fans and students are encouraged to attend the season opening game against College of Charleston this Thursday night at 7 p.m. – one day earlier than the normal Friday games that Gamecock soccer fans are accustomed to.

Thursday’s match is deemed Faculty/Staff Night, but the party also extends to all South Carolina students. All students with proper student ID’s will receive FREE PIZZA at the game. Arrive early to be sure you are not left out!

The Gamecocks take on Western Carolina Sunday at 2 p.m. on DADS AND DAUGHTERS DAY. The women’s soccer team and coaches will participate in a Question & Answer session after the game with all dads and daughters that attend the game together. Be sure to bring your daughters, stick around after the game and get a chance to talk to the Gamecocks about getting involved in sports. The concession stand will also sell $1 Hot Dogs.

PARKING UPDATE
Due to continuing construction on the Dodie Anderson Academic Enrichment Center, parking for the 2009 seasons of South Carolina men’s and women’s soccer has changed. Fans are encouraged to pay close attention to parking regulations around Stone Stadium this fall.

The gravel lot, located on the corner of Marion and Heyward Streets will not be available for fans attending matches at Stone Stadium. Fan parking for the 2009 season will be located in several areas after 5 p.m., including The Roost parking lot, in the diagonal spots along Heyward Street marked “Contractor Parking,” on Marion Street (between Stone Stadium and the Indoor Fieldhouse), and along Sumter Street (West side of stadium).
