TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The South Carolina women’s tennis team’s fall season came to an end Saturday in Tuscaloosa, Ala., at the SEC Fall Coaches Classic.

Senior Gira Schofield won the crimson draw by default against Melissa Koning of Auburn since Koning was unable to compete with an injury.

Freshman Ashley Miller lost in three sets of her consolation match with Auburn’s Jil Hastenrath 6-3, 1-6, 7-5 in the gold flight.

Miller and Schofield suffered a 9-7 loss to the Arkansas team of Carbone and Lukomskaya in the white draw of doubles.
