EVANSTON, Ill. — The South Carolina women’s tennis team concluded play in the Wildcat Invitational on Sunday in Evanston, Ill., by winning both flights of doubles and the A flight of singles.

Natasa Vuckovic and Ana Marija Zubori defeated teammates Miljana Jocic and Gira Schofield 8-6 to claim the A flight of doubles. In the B draw, Suzanna Mansour and Ashley Miller came back to down the Minnesota team of Chiarelli/Kazakova 9-8(6).

In the championship match of the A singles flight, Schofield topped Zubori 6-0, 6-3. In the finals of flight B, Vuckovic suffered a 6-1, 6-4 setback to Kali Krisik from Notre Dame, and Miller lost 5-7, 6-3, 6-1 to Angela Chupa of Wisconsin in the finals of flight D. Jocic came back to post a win over Sandra Zmak of DePaul 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 in the third-place match of flight C.

The Gamecocks will compete in their final fall tournament over Nov. 6-8 at the SEC Fall Coaches Classic in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
