Columbia, S.C. – South Carolina junior catcher Trent Kline has been named to the CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) Academic All-District first team in district three as announced on Thursday afternoon. Kline is a retailing major. As a first team all-district selection, Kline is eligible to be voted for the CoSIDA Academic All-America squad.

Kline has played in 48 games with 44 starts on the year behind the dish. He is batting .328 with five HR and 37 RBI and also owns a team-high 16 doubles. Kline and Gamecock designated hitter Phil Disher each lead the team with 20 multi-hit games as well.
