Aug. 2, 2006

Due to concerns about the heat, the first five practices for the University of South Carolina football squad have been moved back one-half hour, according to Carolina Head Coach Steve Spurrier. Practices slated from Aug. 5 through Aug. 9, originally scheduled for 7 p.m., will now begin at 7:30 p.m.

The first five practices will be held on the USC Practice Fields on Bluff Road, across the street from Williams-Brice Stadium. The practices are open to the public, but fans are asked to not bring any video or still cameras. In addition, there will be no player or coach autographs.
