Friday, April 28, all Carolina alumni and fans in the Philadelphia area are invited to join the Carolina Alumni Association for an evening reception honoring the USC track and field teams and their coaching staff, led by South Carolina’s own two-time national coach of the year Curtis Frye. The teams will compete at the Penn Relays April 26-29.

The reception, held from 7:30 until 10 p.m. at the Vesper Club in Philadelphia on Friday evening, will feature heavy hors d’oeuvres, soft drinks and a cash bar. There is no cost to attend the event.

Guests will welcome the track and field coaching staff after Penn Relays at about 8 p.m., followed later by the teams’ student-athletes and Coach Frye, who will address the crowd. This will provide an opportunity for fan interaction with the runners and also foster networking among graduating student-athletes and Carolina supporters in the area.
