The University of South Carolina football squad will hold its first of 15 spring practices today, Monday, March 13, at the Bluff Road practice fields. The scheduled two-hour session will begin at 4:15 p.m.

Second-year head coach Steve Spurrier will welcome 40 returning lettermen, 18 on the offensive side of the ball, 19 on defense and three specialists.

The Gamecocks are slated to practice four times this week, also working out on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Other practice dates include March 20, 22, 24, 25, 28, 30 and 31, and April 3, 5 and 7 leading up to the Spring Game, which is set for 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 8. All practices are open to the public. Dates and times are subject to change.
