Murfreesboro, TN – Senior Michelle Jenkins finished 10th in the country in Walk/Trot at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association’s National Finals held at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Jenkins put in a solid performance in a class of eighteen to finish in the top ten.

Junior Lindsey Wilson had a disappointing finish in Novice Fences . Wilson started out with a solid ride but had a sticky sixth fence. Her horse made an indecisive jump and pulled a rail which seriously affected her score.

“To get to the National Finals is feat in itself, requiring consistency, skill, nerves of steel and also a little luck,” Coach Duncan said. “Lindsey and Michelle represented our team well. We just needed a few breaks for them to have placed higher that didn’t happen. I am extremely proud of both of them for all they have accomplished this year.”

The IHSA National Finals marks the end of the Equestrian season for the 2002-2003 year.
