Columbia, S.C. – Senior Kacy Thompson won her first individual title this past weekend at the Lady Gamecock Classic. Thompson fired an even-par 72 on Friday and finished the day tied for first place. The final two days were canceled due to rain, and Thompson won in a scorecard playoff. Thompson’s brother Kyle is currently on the Nationwide Tour. Thompson, a senior, is from Irmo, South Carolina.

1. When did you start playing golf?"I started playing when I was six, but not competitively until I was 10."

3. What is your favorite aspect of golf at USC? "Making great friendships with my teammates and the chance to travel to so many great places."
