COLUMBIA, S.C. –
The fourth-ranked South Carolina baseball team will open up the 56th College World Series Friday at 2 p.m. against Georgia Tech. The Gamecocks advanced to the CWS with a thrilling, 6-4 win Sunday over Miami in Columbia for Carolina’s first Omaha appearance since 1985.

The Gamecocks will play either Clemson or Nebraska Sunday at 1 p.m. (loser’s bracket) or 5:30 p.m. (winner’s bracket). All games are played at historic Rosenblatt Stadium (capacity 23,145).
