SEC Women’s Tennis Championship
Hosted by University of South Carolina (Columbia, SC)

# 1 Georgia Coach Jeff Wallace
“We came out and played really, really well in singles. It may have been the best played tennis we’ve played this season. We lost singles play at the 1, 2 and 3 spots the last time we played them – so it was nice to see the team come out and close it up quickly. In doubles,we did what we had to do. At the 1 spot, they played as well as I’ve seen them and the #2 team came back to give us the point.”

Georgia Player Agata Cioroch
“We played really well today. We came out focused on what we needed to do and just played our game. When we played them during the regular season, it was tough match. We knew we had to come out and really play our game.”

#8 Mississippi Coach Mark Beyers
“We were just outplayed today. Georgia never really gave us the chance to play, it was a great match. I can’t fault the effort of our players. They did a great job and Georgia is an outstanding team. We had some opportunities in the doubles matches, but weren’t able to capitalize.”

Mississippi Player Mira Radu
“Georgia played a great match. They were very focused. They were ready for us because we played them close during the regular season. We were tired from yesterday’s matches with Alabama, but we fought hard. Top to bottom, Georgia is a strong team.
