Theresa Logan was appointed as the Gamecocks’ sports dietitian in October 2013. Logan possesses over two decades dietetics experience and comes to Columbia after spending three years at George Mason University and nine years as the campus and athletics dietitian at Davidson College. Theresa has worked for the NFL’s Carolina Panthers (2005-2009) and provided consulting sports dietetics services to professional and amateur athletes through T. Logan Dietetics, Inc., in Charlotte, N.C.
Logan is a registered, licensed, and board certified specialist in sports dietetics. She received an Master of Science in nutrition science from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Science in allied health/nutrition from Misericordia University in Dallas, Pa. She served her dietetic internship at the James A. Haley VA Medical Center in Tampa, Fla.
Logan is active in the community appearing in television spots with the United Way Central Carolinas, and nutrition talks to Johnson & Wales University, running groups, and local high school athletic associations.
Logan is married to John Logan and has a daughter, Gillian. During her leisure time, Logan enjoys tennis, pilates, hiking, and kayaking.
