Hilary Cox

Position: Director of Compliance Services

Hilary Cox is the director of compliance services at the University of South Carolina. Cox has been on staff in the office of compliance services at South Carolina since 2014.

As director, Cox oversees all aspects related to Bylaws 11 and 15. Additionally, she serves as the primary compliance contact for softball, beach volleyball, swimming and diving, office of student financial aid and scholarships, the bursar’s office, and the Carolina card office.

Cox was hired as a compliance assistant with South Carolina athletics in June 2014. She was promoted to assistant director in April 2015 before moving up to associate director in February 2017. Cox began her career at the University of Tennessee where she was a graduate extern for two years.

Cox is originally from Atlanta, Ga. She was a four-year softball student-athlete at the University of North Georgia where she earned her bachelor’s degree in business management in 2012. She was on the Division II National Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for three years and served as the chair of Division II National SAAC for one year. Cox earned her Master of Science in sports management from the University of Tennessee in 2014.
