GamecocksOnline.com Introduces Mobile iPhone Application

GamecocksOnline.com unveiled Gamecocks Online today, the official iPhone application of South Carolina Athletics. Gamecocks Online offers iPhone owners easy access to up-to-the-minute news, scores, schedules, rosters and streaming audio and video for the 2009-2010 school year. Gamecocks Online is $4.99 per year and can be downloaded from the iTunes store or from the App Store on your iPhone.

The application provides iPhone owners an interface that gives them immediate mobile access to essential information from GamecocksOnline.com, the official athletic web site of South Carolina Athletics. Fans no longer have to wait until they have access to a computer or internet connection to keep up with their favorite South Carolina sport. Now they can take it with them!

The initial launch of Gamecocks Online will include access to the following features:

HEADLINES
Breaking news, by sport, available exclusively from GamecocksOnline.com

SCORES
Updated score, schedule and venue information for each contest, and results from past events.

SCHEDULES

Complete schedules for each sport by date, time, location and opponent. Includes home and away team rosters and bio information for each athlete.

AUDIO/VIDEO
Select on-demand audio and video clips, as well as streaming audio for select live events.

Future versions of Gamecocks Online may include access to:

Subscription access to premium audio and video content through your iPhone. Subscribe to Gamecock All-Access and experience premium multimedia when you're away from your computer.
Live play-by-play through GameTracker.

The Gamecocks Online iPhone application is only compatible with iPhone and iPod Touch and requires iPhone OS 2.0 or later.
