Cocky Appearance Request
General Information
When available, Cocky makes public appearances for community and/or private parties upon request for the Columbia and surrounding areas. Appearances are determined around the USC and Athletics schedules and are subject to be changed and/or canceled in the event of a conflict with a USC and/or Athletics events. Please note that only on rare occasions will we be able to make an appearance on a home football game day. Cocky appearances for business requests are reserved for our sponsors only. Due to NCAA rules, Cocky is unable to visit High Schools, High School Graduation Parties or birthday parties for those that are in high school. Each appearance may last up to one hour. Cocky appearance requests must be made at least 6 weeks in advance of your event.
Appearance Fee
Submissions made for events after March, 22, 2025, the Cocky appearance fee will be as follows:
- University of South Carolina Department/Organization On-Campus events: $125
- Non-Profit (must submit 501(c)3 documentation to confirm non-profit status): $175
- Gamecock Club member: $275
- Gamecock Athletics sponsor: $275
- General public appearances: $450
In addition, all appearances outside of 10 miles from the Rice Athletics Center (1304 Heyward Street, Columbia, SC 29208) will also be asked to reimburse for mileage at a rate of $0.70 per mile (rounded to the nearest dollar). Please note that appearances outside of 90 miles may incur additional travel fees, including, but not limited to hotel accommodations.
Appearance requests that we are able to fulfil that were requested less than 6 weeks from the event date, will incur an additional 10% late request fee.
Hotel Accommodations
Hotel accommodations will be requested in addition for any appearance and mileage reimbursement fees outside a 90 mile radius of the Rice Athletics Center (1304 Heyward Street, Columbia, SC 29208) with the below start times:
- Appearances with a start time of/or before 8:00 a.m. (hotel will be requested for the evening prior to appearance)
- Appearance with a start time of/or after 8:00 p.m. (hotel will be requested for the evening of appearance)
How to request an appearance from Cocky
- Please fill out the form below. Forms must be filled out a minimum of six (6) weeks prior to your requested appearance. Forms that are filled out less than six weeks prior to your requested appearance will incur an additional 10% late request fee. Please note that filling out this form does not guarantee that Cocky can make an appearance at your event.
- You will receive an immediate automated response email to confirm receipt of your request. This is not a confirmation for the appearance.
- You will be contacted via email regarding availability approximately five to six weeks prior to your requested date.
