Check out this week's Facebook Fan of the Week winner, Suzanne and Gud Malarche of Arlington, VA. "Julia was born 8 weeks early and spent almost one month in the NICU.  While her early arrival caught us off guard, we like to think that she just couldn't wait any longer to start cheering on the Gamecocks!"

Kim Willaby of Rock Hill was a big winner on The Price Is Right recently. She was filmed on the show during the football bye week and it aired last week. Not only did she shout out, "Go Gamecocks!" as she took the stage to compete in her "Cocky" shirt, she even won the final Showcase Showdown prize.

Her photo is Fan Photo of the Day today.

Gamecock fan Ken Dewitt in Neptune Beach, Florida, posted on our Facebook timeline letting us know that you can see the "GO COCKS" he mowed into his front lawn when using Google Maps!

Pretty impressive!

We have an album on Facebook for Gamecock rooms and home design/decor. If you have a photo you'd like to share email it to us at GamecockAthletics@gmail.com!

We've updated two of our themed fan photo albums today!

Military Gamecocks and Veterans - Started in honor of Veterans Day, includes both Carolina alumni and Gamecock fans who have served in the U.S. Military or are currently on duty. We've gotten some fantastic pictures of Gamecocks flying their flags while deployed, such as the one below that we added today. Click here to see full album.

"My company's 1st Sgt is probably the biggest USC fan ever. He even bought season tickets for this past season, knowing we were getting deployed and wouldn't have the opportunity to see any games. This picture was taken from our Combat Outpost (COP) in early December. The day ya'll won the Capital One Bowl, we flew same flag in the picture over the COP."

Gamecock Pets - A place for all our four-legged and furry Gamecock fans to show off their team spirit, like the example below of J.P. Yakscoe's boxer Dezzie in the Shenandoah River! Click here to check out the full album.

Thanks for all your great submissions and keep them coming! Send your photos and stories to gamecockathletics@gmail.com! We're also looking to create more themed albums such as Gamecock rooms and weddings as well as expand the current Cocky Across the Globe album.

New Themed Fan Photo Albums on Gamecock Facebook Page

| No Comments | No TrackBacks
Each day in the Spurs Up Daily Round-Up (you can check them all out in the 'Spurs Up Daily' category list on the right hand side of this page) we feature a Fan Photo of the Day that we also post to an album on our Facebook page (come join us if you haven't already, http://facebook.com/gamecocksonline)

After getting so many great submissions, we decided the best way to showcase more fan photos would be several themed albums of different types of pictures. Each album will be updated periodically as we receive more pictures. If you'd like to submit a photo, email it with your name, names of anyone in the photo and any backstory or details (alumni class, where you're from, etc.) to gamecockathletics@gmail.com!

Check out the different Facebook albums we've started so far below as well as some on the horizon. And feel free to leave more ideas in the comments!

Cocky Across the Globe - The idea for this one generated from Jennifer Roose sharing photos that her husband, John Roose (below), took while deployed with the Navy. He took pictures of their daughter's stuffed Cocky at his different ports to send home. The album features his photos and expanded to include any photos of Gamecocks traveling the country and abroad in their Carolina gear! Click here to check out the full album.

email it with your name, names of anyone in the photo and any backstory or details (alumni class, where you're from, etc.) to gamecockathletics@gmail.com!

Have another great idea for an album theme? Leave it for us in the comments!

Pre-Game & Fan Photos: South Carolina vs. Clemson

Columbia was buzzing all day as Gamecock Nation prepared to host rival Clemson in Williams-Brice and the game atmosphere did not disappoint.

Fans waved their rally towels and kept it loud all night to create an electric feeling throughout the stadium. The Gamecocks now have a 6-1 home record for the third straight year and a 20-3 record in their last 23 home games, in part due to the great home crowd support. Thank you, fans!

Hope everyone had a great time tonight!

Thank you to all the fans at Williams-Brice Stadium today! Tough loss, but a great day of excitement nonetheless. Check out photos below from the Gamecock Walk, great tailgating, Sandstorm, and great fan shots during the game! You can also tag yourself in these photos on our Facebook page. Go Gamecocks!

Tickets are available for next week's game vs. Kentucky on Ticketmaster.com! We'd love to see another great home crowd at Williams-Brice before we go over a month without a home game! See y'all there! Go Gamecocks!
It was a great atmosphere today in Charlotte for the season opener vs. ECU. Tailgaters were all over uptown Charlotte to see the Gamecocks take the field for the first time in 2011.

Tailgating and Fan Photos:

In our pre-game pageantry photos, check out shots of fans greeting the team at arrival, Sir Big Spur on the field, warm-ups, and the entrance. In a special treat at a neutral site game, both teams got to take the field with their own entrances. ECU came out first to purple smoke and "Purple Haze". Then the Garnet & Black-clad crowd roared for the familiar tunes of "2001" as the Gamecocks rocked back and forth in the tunnel and took the field through the smoke.

The Gamecocks hit the field next week in Athens to take on Georgia in their first SEC game of the season. We'll be there for tailgating photos too so be on the lookout! Go Gamecocks!
