In what will hopefully be a prediction of the Outback Bowl outcome, South Carolina defeated Michigan tonight in the two team's Outback Bowl outing to Splitsville in Tampa. Each team selected four players to represent their squads. Representing the Gamecocks were Byron Jerideau, Ace Sanders, D.J. Swearinger, and Dylan Thompson. The team would put up a winning score of 448 to beat handily Michigan's score of 383. The two teams shared some good-natured trash talk along with enjoying food and other activities.
