VIDEO OF THE DAY
Gamecock fans created an awesome ESPN College GameDay atmosphere as the national college football show came to Columbia and saw the Gamecocks defeat the Dawgs, 35-7.
ROOSTER CROWS
Following a convincing 35-7 rout of No. 5 Georgia on Saturday night and coupled with losses to Florida State and LSU, the University of South Carolina football squad climbed three notches to No. 3 in both the Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches' polls. The No. 3 ranking is the highest for Carolina since they were 9-0 and ranked second in the nation during the 1984 season. The Gamecocks have extended their winning streak to a school record 10-consecutive games, the longest current streak among FBS teams.
Women's Soccer junior Gabrielle Gilbert scored her second goal of the season to lead the Gamecocks to their first SEC victory of the season in a 1-0 win against Georgia Sunday afternoon. Gilbert scored in the 21st minute with assists from Dani Henry and Danielle Au. Sophomore Sabrina D'Angelo registered five saves to record her second shutout of the season.
