ROOSTER CROWS

The men's soccer team earned a 1-0 shutout victory over intrastate rival Clemson Tuesday night. Goalkeeper Alex Long collected his fourth shutout of the 2012 campaign and the seventh of his career with three saves in the match. The Gamecocks have now defeated Clemson in five of the last six matches between the two schools, having allowed the Tigers to score just two goals during the stretch. Carolina last defeated Clemson during the 2010 season, 2-0, at Stone Stadium.
