Get to know sophomore men's soccer player and Columbia native Braeden Troyer in his Gamecock Spotlight! The Gamecocks take on Clemson tonight at 7 p.m.!
ROOSTER CROWS
Junior outside hitter Juliette Thevenin has been named AgSouth Athlete of the Week and SEC Offensive Player of the Week in volleyball. Moving to 15th in Gamecock history with 855 career kills, Thevenin ranks second on the career charts with 3.77 kills per set. Her strong play helped the Gamecocks break the program record for best start to a season with a 13-0 mark, besting the 1983 team's 12-match winning streak to start the year.
A former JUCO All-American and SEC standout Laura Trout has joined the South Carolina softball staff as a volunteer assistant coach, the team announced today. Rounding out head coach Beverly Smith's full-time staff, Trout comes to the Gamecocks from Georgia, where she lettered two seasons and helped the Bulldogs to the 2010 Women's College World Series.

Since I just had our son 8 and 1/2 weeks ago, my daughter Madison got to have my ticket this year and got to see her first Carolina game in the stadium. We went down with my husband's parents and sister and her husband. We all have so much Gamecock pride! We actually named our son Connor after Connor Shaw. We love the Gamecocks!
