Our friends with the Gamecock IMG Sports Network asked to pass along some helpful tips on postseason baseball radio coverage and how to listen to the games. The Gamecocks face Kent State today at noon ET in a College World Series elimination game postponed from last night.
During our regular season, we made the Gamecock IMG Sports Network broadcast of baseball games available as premium content on GamecocksOnline.com All-Access as well as the official Gamecocks Online mobile app. However, in the postseason the NCAA holds the rights to online audio and video streaming and they have different rules.
Within the NCAA rules, we are unable to live stream or archive our Gamecock radio broadcast on our website or our mobile app.
If you want to listen to Carolina's games online, the NCAA has offered its national Westwood One broadcast available for free. Click here for the live stream audio player or click here for more information on mobile and online listening options. While it won't be our broadcast, it will still allow you to follow the Gamecocks.
As always the game is available on our Gamecock IMG Sports Network radio affiliates, click here to check out the list of affiliates. Since the NCAA controls postseason audio streaming rights (and IMG College holds the streaming rights during the regular season), none of these stations can stream Gamecock IMG Sports Network broadcasts online on their websites.
The game is also airing on XM Channel 91 (XM College Sports Nation). The game is televised on ESPN2 and online on ESPN3.com.
