2011 Freshman All-American Jadeveon Clowney is the latest It's Great To
Be A Gamecock photo feature. We posted on Facebook earlier that if the picture got over 300 shares we would release the Clowney It's Great To Be A Gamecock video tomorrow. Well, Gamecock Country did that and more with over 400 shares in just one afternoon.
Here's the photo below and stay tuned tomorrow for the video:
Gamecock fan Ken Dewitt in Neptune Beach, Florida, posted on our Facebook timeline letting us know that you can see the "GO COCKS" he mowed into his front lawn when using Google Maps!
Pretty impressive!
We have an album on Facebook for Gamecock rooms and home design/decor. If you have a photo you'd like to share email it to us at GamecockAthletics@gmail.com!
Our friends with the Gamecock IMG Sports Network asked to pass along some helpful tips on postseason baseball radio coverage and how to listen to the games. The Gamecocks face Kent State today at noon ET in a College World Series elimination game postponed from last night.
During our regular season, we made the Gamecock IMG Sports Network broadcast of baseball games available as premium content on GamecocksOnline.com All-Access as well as the official Gamecocks Online mobile app. However, in the postseason the NCAA holds the rights to online audio and video streaming and they have different rules.
Within the NCAA rules, we are unable to live stream or archive our Gamecock radio broadcast on our website or our mobile app.
If you want to listen to Carolina's games online, the NCAA has offered its national Westwood One broadcast available for free. Click here for the live stream audio player or click here for more information on mobile and online listening options. While it won't be our broadcast, it will still allow you to follow the Gamecocks.
As always the game is available on our Gamecock IMG Sports Network radio affiliates, click here to check out the list of affiliates. Since the NCAA controls postseason
audio streaming rights (and IMG College holds the streaming rights during the regular
season), none of these stations can stream Gamecock IMG Sports Network
broadcasts online on their websites.
The game is also airing on XM Channel 91 (XM College Sports Nation). The game is televised on ESPN2 and online on ESPN3.com.
Construction of the Gamecocks' new softball stadium officially began two weeks ago with the demolition of Beckham Field (see photos here). Check out the latest photos below! You can also read a great feature on some of the historic moments at Beckham Field here.
Check out the conceptual renderings of the new stadium below. We look forward to having everyone out to see it in person!

Check out this data from sportsfangraph.com with the top gainers in Twitter followers among NCAA programs' official accounts. Our main account, @GamecocksOnline, comes in at fourth-highest in growth in the past 24 hours. Overall, @GamecocksOnline has the 14th-largest Twitter following among NCAA programs and conferences on the platform.
Their data only tracks the primary official account, so if you add in the @GamecockBasebll account which has our most frequent updates live from Omaha, our overall growth the past few days is probably even higher!

a Gamecock-related topic, whether it's #FearTheFish, a
