Senior
left-handed pitcher Michael Roth is one of 10 finalists selected for
the 2012 Lowe's Senior CLASS Award for baseball. Fans are encouraged to
vote on the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award website through June 11. Fan votes
will be combined with media and Division I men's head coaches' votes to
determine the winner.
ESPN
will film a College GameDay commercial this summer on a campus selected
by fans. The school with the most votes wins, so vote daily to bring
GameDay to Columbia! The voting is live as of TODAY! Bookmark it and vote every day!
Their lives changed over the weekend with the NFL Draft, but Melvin Ingram, Stephon Gilmore and Alshon Jeffery (along with several Gamecocks headed to the NFL) know the work is just beginning. They were in Williams-Brice this morning getting a workout in.

Ray Tanner and Davidson head coach Dick Cooke served as Auxiliary Coaches on the 2000 U.S. Olympic Team that won the gold medal. Cooke also was one of Coach Tanner's assistants on the 2003 U.S. National Team that Tanner was a head coach for that featured current MLB stars, Dustin Pedroia, Huston Street, Justin Verlander and Jered Weaver.
Freshman catcher Grayson Greiner is the top hitter for South Carolina in SEC games. Greiner is hitting .317 (19-for-60) in league play with two homers, eight doubles, 11 runs scored and 12 RBI. Greiner also owns a .440 on-base percentage in conference action.
