NFL Draft Profile: Stephon Gilmore

Cornerback Stephon Gilmore led the Gamecocks in 2011 with four interceptions and seven pass break-ups along with 46 tackles. He also made the 2011 Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll. From Rock Hill, SC, Gilmore was the first in a string of four consecutive South Carolina Mr. Football award winners (the top high school football player in the state) signing to play for the Gamecocks. An impact player as soon as he stepped on campus, in his three years as a Gamecock he started in all 40 games at CB.

There was some debate about Gilmore after he announced he would forgo his final year of eligibility in favor of the NFL, but the doubters were quickly quieted after an impressive performance at the NFL Combine and South Carolina's Pro Day.
