Tips & Features for the New Gamecock Club Playbook

Playbook cover screengrab.JPGThe new 2012 Gamecock Club Playbook will begin arriving in mailboxes this week.  The Playbook includes your 2012 membership cards and decals, all 2012-2013 season ticket and parking applications (football, men's and women's basketball, and baseball), and the 2013 Gamecock Club renewal application. You can also check out a sample Playbook online right now.

The goal of this new Playbook is to simplify the renewal process and get all your information in one place. The Playbook also gives members a new payment option - the 11-Month Payment Plan. You can combine ALL your Gamecock goodies (season tickets, parking, membership renewal) into one lump transaction and spread the payments out equally over 11 months. Since it's considered one transaction, you only pay one handling charge instead of paying fees for every transaction throughout the year. However, to select the 11-Month Payment Plan, you will need to sign up by March 30, 2012. The Playbook includes step-by-step instructions on how to enroll in this payment plan.

For example, let's say I'm a 2012 Gamecock Club member at the Half Scholarship level. I have four football season tickets, parking in the new football parking facility on the former Farmer's Market site, two men's basketball season tickets, two women's basketball season tickets, two baseball season tickets, and I want to move up to the Full Scholarship giving level for next year, 2013. If I enroll in the 11-Month Payment Plan by the March 30 deadline, all of those items would be lumped together into one total amount for the year and divided into equal payments automatically charged to my credit or debit card at the end of each month from March 31, 2012, until January 31, 2013. All my payments are established for the next year and I can sit back and enjoy cheering on my Gamecocks. I don't have to worry about renewal deadlines; everything is already set. If I decide I want to change my football seat location during my online seat selection time in June, no worries, I can still do that. Any changes in the total amount due at any point will be prorated over the remaining months of the payment schedule.

If I don't want to do the 11-Month Payment Plan, I can also still choose to pay in full for everything separately. I can still pay for my football season tickets and parking by the May 31 deadline, then wait to pay for my basketball season tickets until the October 12 deadline, baseball by the December 7 deadline and my 2013 Full Scholarship membership by the January 31, 2013, deadline.

It's totally up to you which payment method you prefer, but keep in mind that if paid individually, each transaction would incur a separate handling charge ($10 online, $15 mail/phone) and it is your responsibility to make sure you have paid in full by the deadlines.

Seat selection for football will still be online and your selection time will be included in the Playbook (in June or July). Football parking may also be selected online for the first time ever. The Playbook includes paper request forms for football parking and season ticket seat location/relocation, but you only need to submit these if you do NOT want to participate in online selection.

Information on Gamecock Club member benefits, priority points, ticket limits and distribution are also included in the Playbook so you should hang on to it for long-term reference.
