Gamecock Country-
I wanted to share our coverage plans for the Gamecock IMG Sports Network this weekend. On Saturday, South Carolina men's basketball faces Georgia at Stegeman Coliseum at 1:30 p.m. EST (1:00 p.m. airtime). Back in Columbia, South Carolina baseball takes on Clemson at Carolina Stadium at 2 p.m. (1:45 airtime). Both games can be heard on the Gamecock IMG Sports Network.
As we explained in our "10 Burning Questions" FAQ, the Gamecock IMG Sports Network - like all IMG schools - only has one satellite channel. In the event of a conflict, we have to offer on our satellite channel the sport that's carried by more of our affiliates.
Fortunately, your unprecedented interest has also coincided with a unique opportunity for us. Another IMG school has allowed us to "borrow" their satellite channel Saturday - an option not normally available to us, especially at such a crowded sports time of the year. That way, we can offer both games on our network.
What does this mean? Affiliates that air both Gamecock basketball and baseball will have the option of choosing the game they'd like to carry.
Stations that do not carry Gamecock baseball are still contractually committed to covering South Carolina basketball.

I (Andy Demetra) will be in Athens covering men's basketball. Derek Scott will fill in on baseball.
We look forward to delivering a great on-air product for you in both sports this weekend. Thanks for your support. Go Cocks!
