South Carolina men's tennis (2-0) defeated both Appalachian State and Wofford by matching scores of 7-0 at the USC Indoor Facility in the first two matches of the Gamecocks' 2012 campaign. All five freshman Gamecocks made their singles dual-match debuts, and all of them picked up their first two wins.

Today's fan photo is from Laurie Balut:
"My friend, Mary, flew in from Nebraska for a whirlwind Capital One Bowl Weekend! Even though we were on opposing teams, we had a blast together attending the bowl kick-off luncheon, pep rallies, fan fest and finally, the game! I'm a New Jersey native, currently living in Orlando, but my college years at the University of South Carolina shaped me into the woman I'm proud to be today! GO GAMECOCKS!!"

We've got a lot of great submissions so keep them coming! Feel free to send in your photos (any sport/season, either of you or taken by you!) with your name to GamecockAthletics@gmail.com! A lot of the best photos include some Gamecock gear and 'showing your spurs'! We'd love to share with the rest of Gamecock Nation!
