ROOSTER CROWS
South Carolina Football ranks fifth in the country in total defense, behind only LSU, Alabama, Michigan State and Georgia. The Gamecocks are second only to Alabama in pass defense. Clemson is 56th in total defense but 18th in total offense.
The last time Clemson came to town C.J. Spiller returned the opening kick 88 yards for a touchdown, but it was all Carolina after that in a 34-17 Gamecock win over the 15th-ranked Tigers at Williams-Brice Stadium on Nov. 28, 2009.
