This Week's Home Events: Football Home Opener, M.Soccer & W.Soccer Host Two Games Each

THIS WEEK IN GAMECOCK COUNTRY

Kayla Grimsley.jpegBoth Men's and Women's Soccer play two games each at home at Stone Stadium this week along with football playing their home opener against Navy on Saturday at 6:00 p.m (tickets available).

Fans with a ticket stub from the Navy football game receive admission for just $1 to the Men's Soccer game vs. High Point at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday and to the Women's Soccer game vs. Wake Forest at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. For the Thursday and Friday soccer games it is Garnet, Black, & Green Night, where the first 50 fans at each game receive a free re-usable grocery bag. And be sure to come hungry to Thursday night's Women's Soccer game vs. Charlotte for $1 hot dogs!!

** Senior Kayla Grimsley (pictured above) tied the program record for career assists in the Gamecocks' 2-0 shut out of UNC Wilmington. Keep an eye on her (forward, #4) this week to see if she can set the new record!

Football vs. Navy - 6:00 p.m.
- First home game of the season
- The Gamecocks rose to #11 in both major Top 25 college football polls after their 45-42 victory over Georgia in Athens.
- Tickets are still available for the game via Ticketmaster for face value of $40 each. Tickets are also available for remaining home games (single seats only for Auburn and Florida) with the exception of Clemson which is sold out. A limited number of season tickets with tickets to all games are still available via GamecocksOnline.com or by phone, 1-800-4SC-FANS.
