The 2011 season kicks off in earnest this week with several home events. Volleyball will play four matches this weekend as part of the Gamecock Invitational Tournament fresh off their three-game sweep to win the Temple Invitational Championship this past weekend and SEC Offensive Player of the Week Honors for sophomore Juliette Thévenin. No. 21-ranked Women's Soccer debuts at Stone Stadium for their home opener on Friday vs. Northeastern after opening the season with four games on the road, winning two shutouts over East Carolina and Arizona. Football kicks off the season in Charlotte on Saturday vs. ECU with several associated events here in Columbia, including Thursday's Wild Wing Cafe Street Party & Pep Rally and Saturday's official watch party at Buffalo Wild Wings Northeast.Season tickets are still available for Volleyball, Women's Soccer and Men's Soccer on GamecocksOnline.com for $25 each for adults and $10 each for youth.
